AMG have had there first stream discussing Star Wars. Will Shick and Simone discussed the future of the Star Wars Miniature Games.

They discussed how the delays from the lockdown will start effecting production timelines. In short expect delays for new product development especially since some of the transferring team have not made it over to AMG.

Then Simone discussed the reasons for the move including a deliberate focus on miniature games. This to me says that AMG wants to really focus on being the best miniatures company. Considering the talent that AMG assembled to create Marvel Crisis Protocol I am keen to see what they can do. The big take away from the first 20mins is no change to the fundamentals at this stage.

The biggest change is all social media will come from AMG but articles will still post on the FFG website starting immediately and also lock in Wednesdays and Fridays to talk about Star Wars games on the AMG Twitch page.

AMG is basically have a mini stream con around the 18th March (best ask the boss and the missus for time off to watch them) on every game AMG makes. Will said this is going to be similar to what AMG did for GENCON online this year with painting, hobby and development streams all weekend.

Organised Play- No Worlds until 2022, which is a shame but not a huge surprise with kits coming later this year. Awesome news though that we can expect something soon. Also we can expect some OP kits in the same vain as the Marvel Crisis Protocol kits such as the Vibrumim Heist kit. For Legion a kit around the Marvel Comic Vader Down. I imagine that this will be in a similar vein as the ultimate encounters for Marvel Crisis Protocol. Out of everything this is what I am most excited for.

Finally Simone and Will officially announced two expansions which rumours have been around for awhile for. The Rebel AA5 speeder truck and the dual faction LAAT/le. They showed off the boxes and models along with the bases for both. The AA5 is on the same base as the GAV tank and the LAAT is on the same base as the airspeeder.

I hope that this reduces some of the stress that the players have been expressing. Overall I am hopefully for the future of Star Wars games.
