"I am a droid. I am always right."

Fantasy Flight Games have dropped spoilers for the Clone Wars Era Specialist packs. Starting with the Sith controlled Clones first.

55pts for 4 wounds courage 2 red dice defence commander. Upgrades options are command, training and gear. Sharpshooter 1 for his 3 black dice DC-15 even though the Clone Commander does not surge but he is still a good unit to fire support into due to that sweet Sharpshooter keyword. Two new keywords that were added in the last RRG update. Direct which is Entourage lite where every turn a Corp Clone Trooper Unit at range 1-2 is issued an order. Hello Fives' new best friend. Clone Commander directs Fives' unit and receives an order back or that ARC Trooper unit. Bolster 2 uses an action to hand out 2 surge tokens to units at range 1. This is directly comparably to Take Cover and Spotter on the generic Civil War Era Officers. I consider Bolster 2 better than Take Cover 1 but not as good as Spotter 1. The action control that Spotter provides is almost as good as Clone Trooper key word. Take Cover doesn't compare at the moment as Dodge tokens are worth less than an Aim or 2 surges.

3 new commander cards for the Republic aswell. Synchronized Offensive is a one pip which issues to a vehicle which can then issue an order to a clone trooper at range 1-2. Notably this card stats that it is vehicle issued an order not from this card so HQ Uplink ATRTs can hand out additional order tokens.

Air Support is the two pip only issues an order to a Commander or Heavy and allows one clone trooper commander or heavy with Field Commander to use the Red double black with beam 2 and immune deflect. Generic Maximum Firepower for the Republic is how I read this. This is going to be huge for Rex and Field Commander lists.

The three pip is Attack of the Clones, which gives 3 orders to clone trooper units. When a unit is issued an order from this card can either remove a suppression token or gain a surge token. This is a versatile card that can be used to bolster units or to prevent units from panicking.
The Clone Medic and Clone Engineer are a departure from the other factions medics and repair bots. They are both Repair/Treat 1: Capacity 1 BUT they are not Noncomabatants which means that for the slightly increased cost (18pts for the Engineer and 20 for the Medic) you get an extra body. Phase 1 extra trooper is 10pts and Phase 2 extra trooper is 13pts. Not sure how much play that these will see as alot of extra troopers are not getting played at the moment and points are hard to come by in Republic lists.

The Clone Commander is not what I expected. I was expecting a commander upgrade that increased courage with Inspire 1 and Leader. However that is not what we got. The Clone Commander has Inspire 1 and Reliable 1 along with the Leader rule. All this for 20pts. The Clone Comms Technician at 12pts that requires a comms upgrade aswell so the minimum is 17pts but could be 22pts if HQ Uplink is equipped. The Commander falls into the same category as the Medic and Engineer as a nice to have but difficult to squeeze into Republic lists. The Comms Tech opens up some interesting options for Republic players thanks to Fives. The ability to have Fives a Comms Tech with HQ Uplink then if you need another Phase 1 unit with another Comms Tech and Comms Relay to pass the coordinated order where it is needed. This is super pricey with Fives, a Comms Tech and HQ Uplink on a Phase 1 unit clocking in at 110pts. Something to keep an eye on.

Now on to the Sith controlled CIS.

The T Series Tactical Droid is 55pts like his Republic counterpart has Bolster 2, like the Clone version aswell. Direct Corp Droid Trooper Unit which matches the Clone Commander. Weapon is red white no surge but Sharpshooter 1. T series has 4 wounds white defence no surge. 3 upgrades slots are command, comms and gear.

The Command Cards that come for the CIS in this pack are very much the same as the Republic. The one pip is Mechanized Incursion. One order to a Vehicle and when a friendly vehicle unit is issued an order it may issue an order to a friendly droid trooper unit at range 1-2 of it. This helps start the order chain that droids rely on also if the Vehicle is the AAT with OOM which can coordinate in addition to the order handed out on this card.
The two pip is Orbital Strike allows for a 2 red 2 black suppressive attack once from a Droid Trooper Commander or a Field Commander Heavy. It issues an order to a commander or heavy unit. This is not bad for two pip and considering that generally you will find away to have near perfect order control from HQ Uplinks. Does it straight replace Push? Probably not as it requires either a Field Commander Heavy or a Commander with the Droid Trooper rule so Grevious and Dooku can not use it.
The Three pip, Roger, Roger!,  gives orders to 3 droid trooper units and those units can be given either a dodge or a surge token. This is pretty much a straight upgrade on Assault in most lists. The dodge token is pretty much a free armour save for B1 or B2 but also BX droids with Situational Awareness and Shields can make good use of this card aswell.

The T series Tactical droid upgrade is super spicy. 18pts, Sidearm Ranged with a range 1-3 single red die but that is not what this upgrade really does. Lose AI: Attack effectively turning any droid trooper corp into a super normal corp unit that does not fear suppression but also without the normal downside of droid trooper. Additionally the unit gains Reliable 1. The 1 wound does pose an issue for B2 units but if you can avoid having the leader sniped or Force Choked it becomes a non issue.
The EV series medical droid is 14pts and exactly like the civil war medical droids, Treat 1: Capacity 2, Noncombatant 1 wound. Big difference is the targets for this droid. At the moment he can only heal Grevious, Dooku, Maul and Cad Bane. The lack of targets will mean that this guy may get left in Grevious' lair rather than on the battlefield. All of the meat bags in the CIS army normally move away from the army and therefore don't benefit as much.

The Viper Recon Droid  has 1 wound and adds the Observe 2 action but has sidearm ranged of 2 white at range 2. All this for 8 points which is 3pts over a B1. Because Observe is an action not a free action this droid may be left on the sideline aswell.
The PK Series worker droid has Repair 1: Capacity 2, Noncombatant. This is going to be seen in a lot of lists. 2 extra wounds on AAT, BXs or B2s for 12pts. A couple of these in an army will probably become the norm.

Overall these two expansions will round out the Clone Wars Era factions. An interesting note about the upgrade cards they do not say Republic or Separatist. They say Clone trooper only and droid trooper only. That may give us an insight into future releases as the civil war specialist packs upgrade cards had the faction printed on them.
