FFG has revealed the Darth Maul and Sith Probe Droids Operative Expansion. Maul is 160pts, just like Anakin, Jump 1, Deflect, Immune: Peirce, six wounds red defence courage three. Maul's mastery is Juyo and reads while wounded, you can perform 1 additional action during your activation. Limit 2 move actions. One thing that is noticeable for such a character is lack of Relentless or charge. This mastery makes up for it. His melee attack is four red and four white, impact 2 pierce 2 Along with Maul are a group of 3 DRK-1 Sith Probe Droids. A special forces droid trooper detachment to Maul. These sneaky droids have Observe 3, Hover: Air 1 and Incognito. White defence dice with a wound per model. These seem interesting Observation tokens are placed on an enemy unit and can used by a unit attacking that unit to re roll a dice. FFG has finally spoiled the Anakin Skywalker Commander Expansion for Star Wars Legion. Let’s start with the basics. 160pts 6 wounds courage 3 Red defence no surges on his card (more about that later) Jump 1 Immune Pierce 5 red dice melee lightsaber attack with Peirce 3 and Impact 3. The new keywords are Djem So Mastery replacing Deflect. In a similar vein though with dodge tokens giving surge to block but if you cancel a result the attacker suffers a wound, from how this is worded on the reminder text the act of cancelling a die with the token would count towards cancelling so would cause the damage to the attacker. This seem amazing powerful as long as you have access to the dodge tokens to spend and a hit comes in that you can spend. From the reminder text it also appears to work in melee which makes thematic sense. Flawed is where this character’s flaw card is added to the opponent’s hand. I'd expect nothing less from Inferno Squad

 Imperial Special Forces and Inferno Squad have been out for a but now and I want to do a deep dive on how to use them. The basic squad is four strong one wound each all for 68pts with red defence. Rolling black dice at range 3 and in melee surging to hit with keywords Marksman, Reliable 1 and Infiltrate. Upgrades are heavy, two trainings, gear, comms and grenades. The heavy options are T-21 Special Forces Trooper is 29pts and has four white dice Critical 2 range 3. Del Meeko is 38pts two black dice range 5 High Velocity, Lethal 1. Along with Repair 2: Capacity 1.  Gideon Hask is also 38pts two red dice range 3, Increase courage by one, coordinate corp trooper and Leader. Both of these heavies have two wounds. Upgrades for the basic squad are an interesting dilemma, you don't want to put to many points into them as they start at 97pts with the T-21 Trooper. Savage Fighters

 AMG’s Twitter has dropped Wolverine and Sabretooth full character cards.  Wolverine looks like a complete beast, Adamantium Slash a five dice attack with a wild bleed and pierce at range 2. That seems pretty good. The big one here is the Healing Factor. Being able to remove damage at the end of an activation two for Logan and one for Sabretooth. This is the first time we have seen this ability. I am not sure how good will it be but considering all of the unaffiliated damage reduction cards have been put on the restricted list you have to assume that it will be some use. Adamantium Skeleton is a double edge sword. Logan counts as size three for throws and colliding which means that he can not be thrown by only a size two throw but when Logan hits he counts as size three aswell. The Best as What I Do is charge with Wilds counting as two successes for three power. Seems good. The Mad Titan

 I must admit that I have not had enough games to determine just how good Thanos is. However I simply love using him. So the question is how to best to use him? Thanos is the leader of the Black Order in MCP with two leadership abilities one on his healthy side and another one on his dazed side. The healthy side awards a victory points for KOing enemy characters. However on his dazed side your team can take damage to reroll dice up to three. His attacks are Strike and Cosmic Blast. The Strike has a wild throw and his blast has a wild effect that pushes and stuns reducing the amount of power his opponents has to respond. Has a reposition ability called cosmic portal. The two powers I like the most are Being of Immeasurable Power and Death’s Decree. Death’s Decree is a reactive power that allows other characters to add dice to their attacks by Thanos spending two power. The other character gets two dice if healthy but gets four if on their dazed side. It makes Thanos a great support ...

Agent Fulcrum acts again

  Agent Fulcrum has passed more information about the upcoming civil war expansion.  What is interesting is Agent Kallus ended up working for the Rebellion but like Iden I think that this will be Imperial only. Alexsander Kallus was an ISB agent and was known to deploy Viper droids aswell so it is possible that he may come with Viper recon droid. Identical to the Viper Recon Droid in the CIS specialist pack, probably not going to happen but one can hope. CIS/ IMPS crossover? Am I the only one that wants this version? Lando has been in the cards since day one and is now on the horizon. I hope he has some crazy command cards that mess with your opponents hand or just straight up cheat the command phase somehow. Maybe he gets an extra card in his command hand but must discard one at the start of turn one.   Thanks to Legion Holonet  for the info. Ban Hammer Drops

  AMG have updated the organized play section with Criminal Syndicate being added to the affiliation s . Black Cat, Bullseye, Crossbones, Green Goblin, Killmonger, M.O.D.O.K Mysterio and Taskmaster join Kingpin. No real surprises here I am keen to see what AMG do with Mysterio going forward though. Cabal also got an update with Bullseye and Kingpin joining there ranks. Looks like a dual affiliation villain list is very possible possibly looking like this: Red Skull, Kingpin, M.O.D.O.K, Bullseye, Killmonger, Taskmaster, Crossbones, Zemo, Green Goblin and any one other character. Taskmaster has rogue agent so can count as Cabal for determining affiliation. Can't wait to put this sort of roster on the table and see if the bad guys can win big. The bigger news is that the banned and restricted lists have been updated. The banned list is one card, Drop off. Not that surprising it is a super powerful card that is difficult to counter. The March of the Droids

Over the last few months, I have been messing around with CIS lists. Double the Fall, B2s or Dooku with Droidekas but when the AAT dropped I knew it was for me. I finally settled on this list .  The idea of this list is to counter clone lists, which normally lack anti armor tech. The AAT job is to be front and centre to take all of the hits while doing max damage. The loadout for the AAT is designed to get an order every turn with Linked Targeting Array and the OOM-Series Droid Pilot.  These allows AAT to co-ordinate a droid trooper to start the chain and when that is not possible one of the B1 units have a comms relay and B1 security droid. So when the AAT is not the start of the chain this B1 passes it order to tank and then it co-ordinates the B2 or restarts the chain.  General Grievous has three jobs, first is to lineback the whole army, waiting in the rear for secret mission units to try and score and take them out. "Storm" front on the Horizon

The X-Men are coming, the X-men are coming. AMG has graced us with a panel to play today, all about Ororo Munroe AKA Storm. Storm's miniature looks amazing, floating up with lighting around her. I can not wait to see what some talented members of the community can do with this model. On the table Storm is a leader. Her leadership ability is X-Men Gold allowing a character to be placed within Range 1 of a nearby ally once per turn. This is huge! Out of action movement opens so many options up like moving a second character up to contest an objective while getting to attack twice against an enemy character also contesting. The second part of the ability is a passive ability to gain cover when your characters are targeted from beyond range 2. This is less usefully noting how many things ignores cover like Venom.
